News Update: Closing Arguments in Trial of Israeli Policeman in Shooting Death of Palestinian Child Stone-Thrower


The leftist Israeli newspaper Ha-Aretz reported this week on the trial of Omri Abu, an Israeli border policeman who fatally shot a young Palestinian boy named Ahmad Musa during a demonstration in the West Bank town of Ni’lin in 2008. According to the article, Abu claimed that he shot the boy in the forehead by accident while he fired in the air to frighten stone throwers who threw rocks at his bullet-proof jeep.
